Golshifteh Farahani

Farahani started acting at the early age of 6 and has remained in the limelight since then. She featured in her first film at the age of 14 in the movie titled The Pear Tree in 1998. Since then, she has acted over 15 movies and an award for the Best Actress from the international section in the Fajr film festival. Some of her current movies are Bahman Ghobadi’s Half Moon released in 2006, M for mother published in 2007 and the Music Man released in 2007, which was banned from showing in Iran for being a controversial film.

After her role in Body of Lies published in 2009, Farahan became the leading Iranian star to feature in a major Hollywood movie. She was subsequently banned from traveling out of Iran. Her last movie role in About Elly released in 2009 was awarded the Best Narrative feature at Iran.  She is a graduate of a music school where she learned how to play piano and similar instruments fluently. She currently resides in Paris and is fluent in French and English Language.

Niki Karimi

Karimi was born in 1971 in Tehran Iran. She is a popularly known actress and producer both in Iran and in the international scene. Her first movie role was in a film titled ‘Sara.’ She was awarded the best actress at the ‘San Sebastian’ film festival.

Taraneh Alidoosti

Taraneh was born on the 12th of January 184, in Tehran Iran. His father, Hamid Alidoosti was a former player in the Iran national football team. She began her acting career by going to Amin Tarorh’s acting school in the year 2000. She got her first role in the movie ‘I am Taraneh; I am fifteen years old which was released in 2002. Since then, she has featured in many other movies both in Iran and in the international scene.

Leila Hatami

The popular actress was born in Tehran in the year 1972.Her parents, popular director Ali Hatami and mother actress Zari Khoshkam encouraged her to follow their career line.To show his support for her chosen career, she father featured her in several of his movies including Hezardastan which is a standard TV series in Iran. Since then, she has taken her acting career in full strides and not looked back. She has won various awards both in her homeland Iran and beyond.

Mahnaz Afshar

Born in 1977, Mahnaz studied video editing in Hannaneh Art Institute. She took part in the making of ‘Keble Avval” a movie directed by Dariush Mehrjooii. She got an invitation to act in the TV series titled Gomshodeh by Shamsi Fazi Elahi. The film later because of her official movie role in the industry. She served in another movie Doostan in 2000 which was directed by Abdollah Eskandari. Unfortunately, the movie was not released as a result of some unsorted issues with authorities in the movie industry. Some other movies that she featured in include; Source Eshgh (which was given positive reviews by the public), Sala –e fast and Cease Fire.
